Robertsbridge Enterprise Group was set up in late 2005 with the single aim of promoting business and enterprise in the village and the surrounding area so that a more sustainable local economy could be created.It has worked in concert with other like minded organisations, particularly the Parish Council and the District Council, through the local councillor, Sue Prochak.

Shopping in Robertsbridge
Robertsbridge is still a village which bustles with activity on its two main shopping streets. Not many villages of 3000 people can boast the following:• Second hand bookstore
• Veterinary surgeons
• Branch of a national bank
• Cycle and Hardware shop
• Two general stores – one on Station Road and one on the High Street
• Two florists
• Post Office and Travel Agent
• Pharmacy
• Second hand and bric-à-brac shop
• Fireplace, wood stove shop

• Cars, tools, hardware and animal feed
